Italian Marble Star of David Channukah Ornament. "The Ground Zero Star of David." Around Channukah time in New York City 2001, a gigantic Star of David was propped up with lights and placed right at the lip of Ground Zero in memory of the Jewish victims of the 9/11 attacks. Not visible to the public, the Star stayed at Ground Zero along with a Christmas Tree for many months. Polished Botticino marble features the Star in a beautiful sepia tone and pays homage to those lost. Image by Gary Marlon Suson, Official Photographer at Ground Zero.
