When you combine drop-dead beauty with a wicked sense of humor, a passionate talent for music, and a glowing love for life, you get an unstoppable force that will have you dancing all day and night. Crystal Hefner was born in England to a musical family. Both of her parents played in bands and toured Europe, Australia and the Middle East. Her father, a singer/songwriter, also played guitar, backing up headliners from Sammy Davis Jr. to Johnny Cash. When Crystal was seven, her family moved to San Diego where she blossomed into a knockout California girl and was later discovered by Playboy. She was the Playboy cover girl for July 2011 and married Hugh Hefner on New Year’s Eve, 2012. What began as a hobby for Crystal became a passion when, after becoming the Mrs. of the Mansion, the music at Hef’s parties reignited the DJ spark in her. She apprenticed under veteran DJ Crash and soon took over his role DJ’ing all of the Mansion parties. During an appearance with Lil Jon in 2011, Crystal was inspired to take her musical aspirations to the next level. Over the last several years, Crystal has made a name for herself headlining at clubs, awards shows and charity events all over the world. She is sponsored by Pioneer and is actively involved in a number of notable causes; such as the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. Crystal is currently in the midst of her second consecutive DJ at Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas. Her sets are mainly a mix of house, electro, hip-hop, and top 40. Although Crystal’s main cup of tea is house and electro, she loves playing all formats and thrives on watching the energy of the music as it hits the crowd. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and prefers to keep things unpredictable with her goofy goddess vibe. Crystal can be seen behind the DJ table laughing with friends as she plots her next inflatable animal attack on the unsuspecting crowd. At home in Los Angeles, when Crystal isn’t running off to Disneyland, she spends her time writing, producing and DJ’ing at various clubs all over the city. Her song “Call the Cops” became a top music video on YouTube after its release and will be releasing an EP later this summer featuring her new single “Pick Up Lines” that has a cameo of her husband Hef on the track. Crystal is passionate about animals and has an ongoing commitment to dog rescue. On New Year’s Day 2014, she was the star attraction on the Beverly Hills Pet Foundation float in the Rose Parade. In addition to love of animals, she also equally cares about the foster children in Los Angeles participated in the SantaCan endeavor, bought several gifts for the youth of Children’s Action Network and helped spread the word about wounded vets with The BOOT Campaign. Crystal also has an incredible eye for style and loves to design clothes that are feminine, sexy, comfortable and launched a loungewear line in partnership with Rhonda Shear titled Crystal Hefner in the holiday season of 2014 and is currently working on a new intimate apparel line set to be released in the beginning of 2016.
